Inspection is carried out to ensure that raw material, components, sub-assemblies and products satisfy the specific requirements.
Scope
This procedure is applicable to raw material, components, sub-assemblies and products manufactured in Switron.
General
Inspection is carried out in 3 areas
1) Inspection of incoming material received from vendors.
2) In process inspection of products.
3) Final inspection before dispatch of products to customers.
1) Incoming Inspection
Inspection is carried out for all articles purchased from vendors.
A) Brass & Phosphorous-bronze sheets.
Above non-ferrous sheets are procured from approved vendors. Sheet thickness is checked in house on receipt of material. Following parameters confirmed from test certificates supplied by vendor:
1) Chemical composition
2) Hardness
B) Components
All components are produced from pre inspected press tools and moulds. At incoming stage, critical dimensions and gauge size are checked. Sampling is done as per IS 2500 Part1.
2) In Process Inspection
After preliminary assembly of products, the products are tested as per assembly
drgs for continuity and assembly of components as per specifications.
3) Final Inspection
Final inspection is done as per IS 13947. Inspection is carried out for following parameters:
a) Fictional tests
b) HV Test
c) Insulation resistance measurement
All products are 100% tested for functional and HV Test.
For contact resistance and insulation resistance 5% of lot quantity is tested.
Inspection and test reports are generated as per annexure 1 and send to customer along with products.
Inspecting Personnel:-
Inspection is done by authorized personnel. A list of authorized personnel is available with the Q.C .in charge. |
