BREAKER CONTROL SWITCHES
Breaker control switches are essentially spring
return switches having spring return from either sides
of neutral position at 45o, other switching
angles such as 30o, 60o, 90o
can be provided on request. These switches can be
provided with following features.
a) Lost Motion Contacts (NAT & NAC):
In addition to main breaker contacts, lost motion contacts can be provided at rear side of switch which indicate last operated position of breaker.
These contacts are also known as Bell Alarm contacts. Any number of such NAC & NAT contacts can be provided.
b) Sequence Locking Device:
This is a mechanical device incorporated in the spring return switch which prevents any two successive
operations generally successive closing operations are prevented, keeping trip free.
c) Centre Key Lock:
To prevent unauthorized operation of the switch, center key lock can be provided on the top switch. It is lockable only in four positions at 90o (0o, 90o, 180o, 270o)
and also at -45o, +45o.
